Book Review of Redemption (Amos Decker, Bk 5) (Audio MP3 CD) (Unabridged)

Most of us have been reading or listening to this Memory Man, Amos Decker series since the beginning. I have been listening and not reading. I think my review of this will apply to both the written and audio book.

We love the character, and we do see some growth, but dang, the characters actually say or tell us how much Amos has changed and become more human. And Amos gets all DR Phil on so many characters. So does Marvin Mars. Spouting life lessons to suspects. Besides all that, well the story had enough twists and turns, but the clues really made it very easy for you to pick the criminals, and spy the red herrings. So as much as I enjoyed it, it seemed a little same old, same old. But as the body count rises, I started to yawn. This screamed to me of the typical, good cop find corruption at his own back door. You cant trust anyone. Yawn. Seen that in most copy shows and books.

Let me count the deaths.... 4 about 13 years, ago. Plus at least 5 more in what a weeks time? The incredulous number of deaths, also made me so skeptical. That is not counting the attempted murders.

The only good plot part was the reason behind all the deaths. That was fresh.
