I love Feehan's "Leopard's Prey" but this is the worse of the series. The only reason I kept reading it was because of the murder mystery part. That was intriguing and I'm so happy Feehan spent a lot of time on that.
Things I disliked: Feehan really likes to write about dirty old men and innocent but naughty little girls. It's really no big surprise if you've read any of her books. Sometimes she gets away with it and manages to make it sexy. Not this time. I don't really want to read about repeated rough sex (they are pretty much all the same), especially when Bijou's first time is filled with her feeling humiliated. That's not a sexy emotion. And any guy not sensitive enough to take it easy on a virgin because he was so worked up is selfish in my book. Again, not sexy. And really, Bijou is an internationally worshipped singer and she is a virgin? Was that really necessary? I would like to see Feehan work out of the box with her characters. Remy was just an overbearing jerk.
Things I enjoyed: Other than the murder mystery part, I really like the interactions Bijou and Remy had with the side characters. The family/group dynamics had wonderful humor and was really interesting.
Overall, if this is your first Feehan book skip it. Go for another one in the series.
