This book is not for the faint of heart or small children. These are the old-time versions of the fairy tales. Example: Rumplestilskin becomes enraged and first drives one leg into the dirt, then becomes more enraged and grabs his other leg and rips himself in two. Example: The Little Red Riding Hood story ends with "... and this wicked wolf fell upon Little Red Riding Hood and ate her all up." There are only a few of the stories that have no such mayhem or frightening parts.
