Discovering God's World Science Reader Grade 1 is a colorful book with a variety of subjects to introduce children to science and to get them excited about science. The text is simple enough on its own with a few simple projects using items that you probably would have around the house. If you wish, you may add other books to supplement as you are going through the lessons. For example, when studying insects, you might enjoy reading a separate easy book about ladybugs.
