Abridged Edition - 4 cassettes - Approx 4.5 hours run time. Read by Boyd Gaines.

OK, you get some idea about this book from the "details", makes it sound kinda interesting - but interesting enough for you to take a chance on requesting it? Well, I took a chance - and I wasn't disappointed!

I know, it has an "over the edge" story line, but when you think about it - I mean what with all the bio-engineering, performance enhancing drugs, and gene-splicing available today, even the doubters will have to admit there is a smidgen of plausibility! Once you pop the tapes in, I think you'll be captivated by it. The author James Byron Huggins doesn't use a lot of "fluff and unheard of words and phrases" to keep your interest up. I was in the Air Force Special Ops (Pathfinders) for over 20 years, and the terminology used for some of the weapon systems ARE REAL! Although not too many people know about them (I wonder how he found out?), they do exist! There really is a SPAS shotgun with a 12 round capacity of 12 gauge/C-4 shells! Now there's a deer hunting weapon if ever there ever was one - Ha! Ready made stew! Who ever knew that there actually IS an armor piercing shotgun - well, now you do!

This book carries you along towards the final confrontation between Cain and Solomon (the lead character), and you don't fall asleep on the journey. There is a surprise ending (I won't tell you what it is), that you never expect! It just comes out of nowhere!

All in all, I think it's worth a listen! I listened! I'm glad I did -it filled up an otherwise boring commute with a little excitement, and that's all I ask of audios!

WOW! I'm getting better - spell check came back with nothing to correct!
