This book was really gathering dust bunnies on my bookshelf. It was one of the 1st books I ordered on this site back in 2007. I only pulled it to read because of some bonus points because it had the word CLEAN in it for the Spring cleaning book challenge.
I also read the reviews here before I decided to plunge it. I think it was the blurb on the back convinced me that this a story I would enjoy, which is why I ordered it 6 years ago. How sad.
One review sad they were bored after 50 pages. I was not bored, I was intrigued, and made it to page 137 before I had to go to bed.
Often chick lit follows some rules, the high fashion women in NY, loses it all, but climbs her way back to the top, finds true love and finds herself along the way. I think I liked this because it didnt really insult you and follow the pattern. Our heroine lives in Chicago, and does lose it all, her job, her boyfriend, her townhouse. and then she loses her memory. Which gives her a clean slate, and she starts over.
I liked the ending, and I think this is a book worth reading. It wont change your life, but it might make you stop to think for a minute if you are doing what you want to do or what you have to do.
