It starts off like a memoir, all twisted-makes-you-uncomfortable-reading-it childhood, with (I guess) "funny" parts, but I respected it more for its honesty and, you know, real human experience than for its humor.
Then it just kind of jumped around - essays about real things from her life. Each chapter seems to have a thesis that she expounds on. Never really tickled me, but I did like it for being really forthright for a book written by a Daily Show writer (and I've read a few).
Wouldn't call it a biography, wouldn't call it a memoir, wouldn't call it a really funny book. But I'm outnumbered, it seems - everyone else seems to think it's hilarious.
