What the book blurb says: Describing Patrick F. McManus as an outdoor humorist is like saying Mark Twain wrote books about small boys...the funniest writer around today-indoors or outdoors.
What I say: Be sure you're safely sitting down before you start reading because you're going to get giddy with laughter when you read. Some tales are about McManus' childhood (which he never grew out of), and some are about his adulthood (which is so wonderfully not very adult). Meet Crazy Eddie Muldoon, McManus boyhood friend. The two of them find a clutch of very old eggs and then go looking for targets. Go on vacation to Hawaii with McManus and his wife Bun. Bun sends him off on a fishing trip that turns into an eerie experience requiring 'revenge'. Learn the efficacy of getting lost on a hunting trip and how to do it like a pro.
