I really liked this series and was looking forward to this book because Trace intrigued me and seemed like he would have a very interesting story, as well as Fiona. I was a little disappointed in the book though. I liked it, but it fell a little short from what I had hoped or expected from these two characters. Trace seemed too passive the whole time. I got very frustrated with him and his indecision and waffling back and forth, hot and cold. Fiona perplexed me because I could never figure out whether she was terrified of men or just hated them. She was a little too unbelievable for me with going from being mousy and timid one minute to cussing like a sailor and becoming sexually aggressive the next. I find it hard to believe that someone who had the extremely negative sexual experiences she had that would be classified as ongoing rape would be so excited and desirous to have a sexual relationship with a man or men she had not really gotten to know that well. She did say that she wanted to get pregnant, but she also pointed out that she planned to do it with artificial insemination. I love Mac. He played a prevalent role in this story. I can see a book for him coming in the future. William, who I loved in the previous book, showed up quite a bit in this book and was just as adorable in this story. I would say it is a good read, and many people may not have the same issues I had. Maybe it is a case of putting too high expectations on something, and it being almost impossible for something to meet them when you set the bar too high.
