Review is for J Frost's story: Night's Darkest Embrace
This takes place in Nocturne. Nocturne is a realm where it is always night and those with demon blood (known as Partials) can travel to. The modern world exists too, with Partials traveling back and forth. Other realms exist too, but only Pureblood or Fallen can travel too.
Mara is hunting for the Pureblood that kidnapped and murdered her cousin. As teenagers (15), Mara and Gloria went into Nocturne after being told not to by their parents. Mara feels guilty and returns once she is of age. She has a huge crush on Raphael who saved her from bringing kidnapped/murdered. She also knows he isn't telling the complete truth about what happened. She knows he is hiding something. The big question is- is he trust worthy?
This is an interesting world and did take some time for me to get into. Once I did, I really enjoyed it and had a hard time putting it down. Wish there were more in this world, it's an interesting one.
