What other plant group claims so many intriguing shapes and spectacular blooms, yet still has such a carefree, rugged unthirsty nature? From striking ornamentals and ferociously spined barrels to clustering rosettes, ground covers, and climbing vines - succulents, cacti and certain "fleshy" familes that store water within themselves can easily fit into almost any garden environement. Many cacti have the added plus of being able to adapt readily to indoor planting situations.
