I've read number 6 of this series and laughed out loud, so decided to find out how it all started.

The beginning of this book hit me wrong (when she was a young girl), but once some of the characters started interacting (especially Stephanie Plum's grandmother and the introduction of Lula), I found a place to smile and even laugh again. So I'm going on with the next. They're a quick read with improbable and unforgetable situations. If something goes wrong, you know Stephanie Plum is probably involved. She's good natured, has a pet hamster (gotta love that!) and the worst luck with cars - but nothing stops her from doing what she sets out to do (even if it involves a number of u-turns).
