4000 Days: My Life Survival in a Bangkok Prison is a gripping tale of an Australian named Warren Fellows who gets sent to the harshest prison in Thailand. Harrowing details of beating, torture and psychological torment dominate this book. Many people may believe that his crime of drug smuggling warrents harsh treatment, but after reading this book, I actually felt sorry for him. I often felt sick to my stomach during his recollections of eating jailhouse "dirty rice", and eating cockroaches in order to survive. Good read if you have a strong stomach!
