Nice addition to the Wherlocke/Vaughn series. Not a great mystery since we know who the villain is from the beginning. The romance was sweet, I liked that Lorelei was so accepting of the strange powers of Argus and his family due to her father and her upbringing. I loved the Duke, he could be such an interesting story all by himself. The villains and their plot could have been fleshed out a little, they seemed more like an after thought, not an integral part of the story. I enjoyed seeing other family members arrive to help including the next generation, who also have some interesting powers. The part I didn't think fit was the strong, intelligent heroine getting upset because Argus didn't mention the two boys he fathered as a teenager.
Overall 3 1/2 stars for a quick fun read.
