I was hoping for something... darker. The creepy old photos suggested a more sinister storyline to my poor brain but this was still an Excellent Book! Wonderful, fresh and inventive story, many of the characters are relatable and this is especially true of the main character, Jacob, which is convenient inasmuch as the reader spends a good deal of time getting to know him. I read this book in just a couple of days which is pretty good for me lately. (my kids devour my free time)

If you get a chance; by all means; read this book! And then you can join me as we try to keep ourselves occupied waiting for the next book from Mr. Ransom Riggs.
