Its difficult to give an honest review without spoilers, but i will try my best.
After being sucked into the story from page one, and spending a whole afternoon reading and ignoring my housechores, falling asleep and then waking up at 4am to finish this book, I cant even begin to tell you how good it was.
Malcolm our main character, knows he is different. A replacement. He lives in the town of Gentry, where people KNOW something is wrong, but look the other way. The demons who live underground feed off the townsfolk fears and love. Which side will survive?
Malcolm (Mackie) falls for a girl named Tate, whos baby sister has vanished. Only Mackie can uncover the truth to save her and save himself in the process.
This book was so amazingly creepy, the story will definitely stick you long after you are done devouring the last page. Definitely an author to watch.
