This latest Dean Koontz book started out very promising.....In fact, it was a page-turner until the last few chapters. The writing style reminded me of "old" Dean Koontz...in particular, "Intensity".
However, the story lost momentum toward the end. It was as though Koontz ran out of steam and lost his imagination. Everything was wrapped up too easily, and many mysteries were left unexplained despite a feeble attempt to do so. And although it was clear that there was supposed to be a subtexted moral message, it never quite made itself known.
If there was a point to this book, I missed it. All in all, a good book with a disappointing ending.
