MORE THAN A MISTRESS: Injured during a duel, the Duke of Tresham hires one of the onlookers as his nurse for three weeks. He gets more than he bargained for because Jane/Sarah gives as good as she gets and she has no intention of letting the duke have the last word.
Jane is in London to seek asylum with her godmother against her father's heir and his loathsome son (who tried to rape her so that she would be forced to marry him).
This is a really well-written story that moves quickly through 400+ pages. I enjoyed it a great deal. (5 stars)
NO MAN'S MISTRESS: This was a delightful story that moved quickly for the first half of the book. Then the author revealed Viola/Lilian's secret and the story started to unravel for me. 3.5 stars
