Celebrity memoirs are one of my guilty pleasures. This one was pretty good. The book focuses primarily on McCarthy's acting career. He is very candid about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, but there is much about his personal life that is glossed over. (For example, he mentions that he has married twice, but I don't recall wife #2's name being mentioned). Yes I'm being nosey, but aren't private tidbits one of the reasons people read celebrity memoirs?
"Brat" is a quick read and fun bit of nostalgia from the '80s.
