A memoir of the author of Catcher in the Rye and Franny and Zooey, J.D. Salinger, written by his daughter Margaret. Creative people are often driven by some unknown inner demons and J.D. Salinger was no exception. I thought the book was quite poignant and honest, filled with all those mixed emotions that a daughter would feel. Catcher in the Rye has long been one of my favorite books but I never knew much about its' author til I read this biography of him.
