An extraordinary book on the Holocaust. Whether the experiences Gray recounts were completely
his, or whether he related them as the eternal Jew, is scarcely relevant. The book is the most powerful statement on the Holocaust I have ever read. Particularly powerful is the way in which Gray manages to retain a positive attitude to life.
I would recommend the book to anyone who wishes to understand evil and the way in which an individual can counter it.
