This was the 6th book relating to the Max Rupert series (which is one of the best series ever written in my opinion). This one centers around a young Boady Sanden at 15 in a small town long before he became an attorney. I wasn't sure I would enjoy this one as much as the others in the series but I couldn't put it down. I was wound up in parts then I had tears in my eyes at the end. One thing Eskens always achieves is to make his characters a part of our hearts. Another beautifully written book. I want more, Mr. Eskens. Please write faster.
