15 years in the making, "Best Evidence" tells the shocking story of what really happened to John F Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Beginning with the kidnapping of the President's body from Air Force One, on through the surgical alteration of his wounds and a false autopsy report, the detailed and irrefutable evidence Lifton presents leads to one conclusion--that a plot existed to murder the President, a plot which reached into the highest levels of the United States government. Unlike all other investigations before him, Lifton's search for the truth led him again and again to the "best evidence" in the case--the President's body, which became in the hands of the conspiritors the means by which they deceived the nation and the world.
