This story was sensitive, thought provoking and wonderful. It provides a look at life for the immigrants in the early 1900s through the eyes of a young Italian immigrant. The injustices and cruelties they endured is heart wrenching. The story takes place in Ohio which is a nice change from the many stories of early immigrants in New York. I highly recommend this book.
