This book is a lot more inspiration than information. They focused mainly on telling the reader "yes you can do it!" and "work very hard!" with very few insider tips. It is nice to have the affirmation in a very cutthroat industry, but the title is deceiving. Also, most of the facts and tips are geared toward people living in New York City, and those involved in a very active film community. It was nice for a bit, but near the end the affirmation came on a little thick. Overall it was okay. There is good information, and some gems, but it is also full of a lot of general statements (such as a whole chapter dedicated to the importance of a budget without actually giving tips on things to focus on in the budget, or tips to cut costs on sets or costumes).
