I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An excellent continuation of a great series!

Warrick is a Dragon Lord who falls for Darcy. Darcy, being a Druid, knows about Dragon Lords already, since she'd been hired by the exiled silver Dragon Lord to unbind his magic. When Warrick is sent to track down the druid responsible for the returned magic, sparks fly between the two.

The only weaknesses I see with this volume in the series are that as a druid, Darcy does not have to be convinced or shown the dragon to believe in the Dragon Lords' existence, and that we did not know Warrick well before his story is presented. While I liked that she so easily believed in dragons (a departure from the previous volumes), it left an opening for conflict that wasn't completely filled by either the conflict about helping the exiled Dragon Lord, or Constantine's distrust of her motives. In addition, the fact that we did not know Warrick's character well before this novel is a small weakness in my eyes, as I am a reader who wants to anticipate the characters' stories more.

This volume also made me question whether or not there is a Darth Vader thing going on with the exiled silver Dragon Lord. Is he redeemable? I guess we will have to read on and see!

The weaknesses in this novel are small, and easily overlooked since Grant does a wonderful job of telling another Dragon Lord's story here in Soul Scorched.
