This is the 11th book in the Miss Julia series and it's another wild ride for Miss Julia and her friends. First off they have to get Hazel Marie and Mr.Pickens wed ASAP because she is expecting twins and pass off a story of an earlier wedding, then an old "friendemy" of Julia's, Francie Pitts, returns to town after her 5th or 6th husband dies and accuses Julia's friend Etta Mae Wiggins of assault and robbery, and Julia's new husband Sam signs up for a class at the church for marriage counseling to rekindle their flames and the shrink running the class is someone from Julia's past. Julia pretends to be ill so she can miss the first class, but as things start to escalate with Francie, Miss Julia just has to get involved and get everything straightened out.
The witty dialogue, the quirky characters are all back and this is another fine Miss Julia story. If you are a fan of this series you will be happy with this next edition. If you haven't read the series you should really start with book one Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind as each books builds from the one before.
