These books are great books. I read them when I was 12-13 and I'm now re-reading them in my late teens. Even though Mary-Kate & Ashley are turning sixteen, these books do not have all the drugs, sex, and foul language that you'll find in most YA books on the shelves today. This book follows the girls trying (keyword, TRYING) to plan their Sweet 16 and all of the mishaps along with it. From an all-girl party with a girl power theme and 50 girls, to inviting boys, doubling the size of their party and a major misunderstanding between one of the girls & her boyfriend, this book has a lot of age-appropriate drama to keep you entertained.
