Two women. Two unplanned and unwanted pregnancies. Two months - August and September 1935. Two agonizing decisions are at the heart of Modern Girls by Jennifer S. Brown. This book is a cultural commentary on the choices available to women in 1930s New York. Beyond that, the book feels like a prelude to a bigger story. Wonder if there is a sequel planned?
