This is book no. 4 in the Stone Creek novel and it's mainly about "Gideon Yarbro". It takes place in the early 1900's. And, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only do we get a glimpse of the characters from the previous novels (i.e. Gideon's brothers Rowdy and Wyatt and their wives and children) but we also see Lydia come back as a young woman, and under rather strange circumstances become Gideon's bride. The passion between the two of them was electrifying. And, I was grateful to see that Linda Lael Miller gave Lydia a backbone and wasn't a weak, wishy-washy mess like some of her female leading ladies.
There was alot of action in this book, too. I give it 4 stars!
