Rose Drayton has wild flash magic which Weird blueblood Declan Martel wants for his heirs. He is in the Edge "courting" Rose which is a good thing considering something like hellhounds (only worse) are terrorizing the residents of the Edge, especially Rose's family. Rose's younger brothers Georgie and Jack have gifts as well. Georgie raises the dead and Jack is a changling cat-shifter. The sparks really fly (no pun intended) between Rose and Declan. He may be an opportunist but he is sexy as hell and Rose is having a very hard time resisting his charms.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Declan is a hero to love and respect, definitely a knight in shining armor. Ilona Andrews has a flare for words and actually draws a picture in your mind so you can understand the new concepts no matter how far out there they are.
