This story showcased the growing attraction and love between Ash and Marguerite without being hindered by complicated secondary characters. The subplot involving her newly-found sisters and absent father was a little weak. I loved Ash because he was your romantic alpha hero, a strong, self-made man with humble beginnings who was possessive and jealous when appropriate. And Marguerite was a good match for him in her sweet way; there were plenty of sparks between them. I was a bit frustrated with the vacillating Marguerite as she tried to decide whether or not to marry Ash even when it was clear that she loved him. Otherwise, it was a good story with steamy love scenes--a great combination. 3.8 stars
