Hello from the Gilliespies by Monica McInerney is almost like reading two stories in one book one about an annual Christmas letter gone very wrong and one about a family pulling together in a crisis. It is a light and easy read despite its length. Both aspects of the story are entertaining, and both could easily have been stand-alone books.
