Book Review of The Pathfinder : How to Choose or Change Your Career for a Lifetime of Satisfaction and Success

I like this book, and think it is worth reading if you are considering changing your career. It attempts to duplicate the career counseling of the Rockport Institute in book format, so it can be a little clunky/repetitive at times, but there is much to be gained from reading the book. Please note, this is an investment of time if you really plan to answer the inquiries in your notebook. A couple of caveats, the book doesn't give perfect instructions about making your notebook to follow along, if you are really detail oriented you will catch a few inconsistencies.

The author seems a little overly preoccupied with sex, he brings it up briefly, but often in ways that are not really applicable. Also, he is clearly not a Christian, and includes things such as his interpretation on Jesus being tempted in the desert for forty days. I don't think he realizes it, but it is offensive to Christians, and clearly ignorant.

If you can overlook/ignore these things, much of the book is helpful, and I'm only half-way through so far. If not for the sex remarks and the dismissive remarks about Christianity, I would have given it 4 stars.
