Come as You Are has some interesting ideas and good suggestions, but because of its length is boring in places. The author is relentlessly upbeat and positive, but each chapter does the educational thing in which she tells you what she is going to tell you, tells you, then reiterates what she told you.

If you skim those parts, her ideas about arousal being a function of a balance between your gas an brake pedals and their sensitivity give an insightful approach to evaluating why you feel the way you to about sex. She also rightly points out that for women stress is a big distraction, and offers exercises on mindfulness and worksheets to complete by your self or with your partner.
