This was an interesting, but "dry" read. The author really dives into the subject of taxidermy, from attending a taxidermists' championship convention to interviewing famous taxidermists to actually performing a taxidermy project herself. The book is full of interesting anecdotes and bits of trivia, but the author tends to dwell overly long on less interesting aspects and then quickly gloss over the more interesting bits. That may be just my interpretation, however. I would have liked to know more about the famous anthropomorphic exhibits of Mr. Potter and less about the dietary habits of taxidermists, for example. Overall, an interesting read.
