To me this was an awful and difficult book to read. From the start it left me feeling disjointed and for the first portion of the book the story was hard to follow. The authors chosen style of writing grated on my nerves from the beginning. I thought about not finishing the book and then decided to continue if for no other reason than to see what the fuss about the book is all about. I still don't get it.
I disliked the heroine until near the very end of the book when she seemed to allow some feelings to creep into her relationships with people but even that did not make me like her. I did like the long suffering hero but it made him seem weak even though the story line has him as a war hero.
All in all, I know that I will not read another Sherry Thomas book.
