I didn't know I like t.hillerman til this tale unfolded. Ingenously intricate plotting, splendid evocations of the Southwest's harsh beauty, insights into a venerable culture & characterizations that grab your belief. Who is the fallen man? One who had been given everything but nothing could satisfy him - what effect did it have on thos who surrounded him?
