I have read all of Tony Hillerman's books and I think that for the most part his daughter Anne has done an excellent job of carrying on the characters and settings of his book.
In this book, however, part of the plot was that one of the characters is diabetic. Unfortunately the condition was not well-researched and what was written was, in one place, jarringly incorrect. I say "jarringly" because it jarred my brain into the real world and interfered with my enjoyment of the rest of the book. This topic should not be difficult nor time-consuming to research, and having a medical professional read that segment for correctness would have helped tremendously.
Otherwise I enjoyed the book.
