[written by a senior pastor of a church in Dublin, CA] {from the back cover} John Cain has been staring at the empty hole of clergy burnout and a marriage at the breaking point. His wife, Esther, is consumed with guilt and grief over the accidnetal death of their youngest child. Suddenly, a tranqui weekend in September erupts to the cadence of violence and hatred. In California, a church filled with Sunday morning worshipers is held at gunpoint, in Boston, hundreds of thousands face the madness of a biological holocaust, and in Israel, a busload of Christian pilgrims is hijacked. Separated from each other by ten time zones....They need a miracle, but lately God has seemed conspicuously disappointing in that department.
