Those who remember and loved the ânon-children'sâ nighttime story âGo the Fâk to Sleepâ will find that the narrow genre has company. âBrenda's Beaver Needs a Barberâ is, on the surface, a delightful children's tale about a girl's rather unkempt large rodent pet, with accompanying child-appropriate illustrations. However, it struck me that just maybe there might be another story being told here â¦
You'll either be disgusted, or laugh loudly and frequently.
I did the latter.
âBrenda's beaver's big
Brenda's beaver's hairy
Every guy who's seen it
says that Brenda's beaver's scaryâ
(OK, OK, I'll concede that the author is adverse to using punctuation ⦠it does not detract, however.)
RATING: 5 stars, enthusiastically, with a gift of a few commas and periods for future use.
