When Dr. Lynn Davis is kidnapped from Earth and taken, via starship Destiny, to a new planet, Saldiora, she has no concept of what may befall her. She is exposed to a new culture, involving new customs, foods, animals (talking and non),medicines, technology and traditions. It becomes clear to her very quickly that the competition into which she is thrust is an ancient one with many rules. It can be cutthroat at times and she has to be on her guard. The resolution at the end leaves the door wide open for many other books from this first-time author.
