Goodreads rating: 2.5/5 stars
I don't give it such a low rating because I didn't like it, but because I couldn't ignore the things I didn't like about it.
Flaws:
Problematic. Mainly sexist (using 'pussy' or saying someone is 'acting like a girl'). One other thing is the creepy way Michael would describe Tristan's 'baby hands'. It almost seemed like he was preying on him sometimes because there wasn't always a clear indicator of what ages they were.
Cheesy dialogue/monologue, which leads into the 'instalove'. It wasn't as bad as others I've read but they did seem to 'fall too fast' for the very little time period.
Repetitive at times. "Make me fly." 'Michael took off the condom and tossed it [...]'
Strengths:
Side characters. They really helped to flesh it out and they all felt real.
Even though they seemed to fall too fast, after a while it really felt natural, like they'd actually been together for a while. Even though sometimes I felt like I was reading a different book when I thought back to how it started!
I'd probably keep my book and reread it again, maybe as a comfort read, if it weren't for the sexism.
