The writing was good, the narration was fine, but the book jumped back and forth in time with seemingly a different cast of characters in each of 4 or 5 sections. On the last section, which should tie everything together, I realized there were characters I had heard of before, in a later time period. I wanted to go back and refresh my memory of their previous story, but that's pretty hard to do.

If you like the author, I recommend that you get a paper or ebook, not the audio book.
