I loved the first one. I was a little disappointed in this one. I think the surfer characters were just lame.It was like the characters became so phoney at times. A little too super hero-ish and juvenile. I got bored reading many of the battle and fighting parts. It was a decent read on my vacation but a bit of a let down since I adored the first novel of this series so much.
