I wasn't sure I'd like this book set in A.D. 43; but I was so wrong. Darlene Mindrup weaves historical facts into this fictional story of the rivalry and prejudices of Jews and Samaritans. It describes the tensions with Rome, and tells a story of lies, greed and deceit; as well as the struggles of the new Christians, who are hated by both groups.
