"Graham Hendrick, an historian, has left his disagreeable wife Barbara for the more agreeable Ann, and is well pleased with the exchange. He can hardly believe his luck, and spends his time dwelling on her and listing what she is wearing in a notebook. This blissful state continues until the day he catches committing adultery on celluloid. Ann was, sometime before they married, a mediocre file actress.
