It was an alien derelict, a ship maybe centuries old, floating through space. Then it landed in techno-smuggler Conek Hayden's backyard.
It's cargo included a beautiful, fragile-looking, colorful little statue with no hint of any possible function. Until the "statue" replaced twenty sand dunes of the planet Beldorph with a glass-lined valley. The most destructive blaster Conek has ever seen, it was the most worthless thing an honest scavenger could find - a weapon too powerful to use and too dangerous to sell. Then it was stolen and Conek suddenly found himself risking his ship, his job, his friends and the peace of the galaxy to get it back.
Luckily, he's made the acquaintance of the ghoster's other passenger...a little 'droid determined to help Conek - and make him laugh - whether the tough adventurer liked it or not!
