Book Review of Tempest Rising (Jane True, Bk 1)

Tempest Rising (Jane True, Bk 1)
Helpful Score: 1

Jane True is a funny, endearing character. She and her dad live a quiet life in a small town since her mom disappeared when she was six. She works at the local bookstore called "Read It and Weep". Tragic events in her past have made her an outcast as most of the town has labeled her crazy. In the beginning when her dad asks about her plans, she says "We performed pretty much the exact same routine every week, but it was nice of him to act like it was possible I might have new and exciting plans". Then a murder occurs and everything begins to change as Jane finds there is more to her life and unanswered questions from the past. This entertaining book has all manner of supernatural creatures and mythical beings. A fun, spooky read.
