** spoiler alert ** Hm, okay. So, I don't think I can review this without giving spoilers.
I received this through GoodReads giveaways, from the publisher with the intent that I'd review it. It took me awhile to get through this one and though the chapters are short and quick, I think it's because it felt like an adult novel tucked into YA fiction template.
A) I didn't like the 3rd person narrator thing that's "the neighborhood" especially when there is no reveal or seeming relevance to disclose later.
B) It's like a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Heck, Juniper's mom's name is even Julia.
C) Brad's total creeperness is like . . . meant for a serious R (or even X-rated) sexual predator movie and his shady decision-making stuff is just not played out. I mean, I didn't need more to read; but there was so much lead up to "and that's just not what happened later," only for later to be bland (as it relates to him).
D) I just . . . I don't know. It was okay, but it didn't feel like excellent writing and for having a sociology background
